Believe it or not, there’s a silver lining to graduation. Senior week, taking place April 15-20, is full of celebratory events to make one of our last weeks here the best ever. We need your help picking a theme!
If you haven’t heard of it, senior week is full of Carolina traditions to help us go out with a bang. We’ll hear our last lecture, see a show at Morehead and have (free) wine at the Ackland. We’ll climb the Bell Tower (and “not” sign our names). And we’ll end the week in style with a Senior Ball at Top of the Hill’s Great Room.
Each year, the senior class chooses a theme for the week. Last year’s theme was YOGO – you only graduate once. (Have they never heard of postgraduate clown college?) We’re brainstorming ideas for this year, and we want to know what you think!
What does the senior week theme affect, you ask? We’ll be selling t-shirts or tank tops to go along with our theme. It’ll also be something to tell your grandchildren about and remember fondly for years to come. Or maybe it’ll just be a cool shirt. That’s still nice.
Our theme ideas so far are:
• Best Week Ever
• The Year of Beyoncé
• The New Wendy’s In the Union
• Budget Cuts and Pancake Butts
So our creative juices are flowing about as well as a plumbing system on a Carnival cruise line. We need your help!
Write your ideas in the comments below. In a week, we’ll pick our favorites and put it to a vote.
